Problem with image effects... - Post...

Hi all. Having a problem with random pics not holding the effect I've applied--i.e., rounded corners, shadows and embossing--as well as getting strange ghost images within the effect-applied object's frame. I've not uploaded the site yet and I'm seeing the issue when I preview with VSD's built-in viewer, so I'm not sure if the problem will carry over when uploaded.

Most of the time, however, the problem is usually the effect not actually being displayed upon preview. It seems like it only happens when multiple pics are overlapping, such as in the screenshots below.

This particular event happens to be a ghost image in the frame and not a loss of effect, so I'll try to play with it until I can recreate the inconsistency, then post that screenshot. The above example is still as irritating, however, and occurs nearly as often as the loss of effect. Thought it was only happening with PNGs, but I'm also seeing it with JPGs and BMPs. Any thoughts?

P.S. Strange things are also happening if I copy and paste text boxes. It will sometimes effect every object on the page, adding fragments of the copied text to random pics and objects--problems will sometimes even carry over to other pages....uber-odd.

Tinkering successful! Here's an example of effect inconsistency:

EDITABLE VSD PAGE (image on the left contains both shadow and pillow-embossed effects, as well as corners rounded to 20 degrees)

PREVIEWED PAGE (missing all effects, in the image on the left. Funny that the original image with the problem in my first post was the one on the right, but now that one is fine, even though I did absolutely nothing to it.)

Soooo.....is there something I should be doing differently? And I forgot to mention, this problem also happens when an image is overlapping a background-embedded image as well, not just when two "free-floating" images are overlapping. Same goes for shapes that have been 'filled' with an image, rather than color or a gradient (as shown in my original post, with the image-filled circles).

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Anyone in admin have anything to contribute, regarding this? It's another one of those "issues" that really begins to grate on the nerves.

Anyone? Bueller?
