Problem uploading images - Post ID...

I've been using VSD for years and have never had this problem.

I tried adding an image and it didn't render in my browsers (I've tested with Chrome and Explorer). So I deleted and reuploaded the whole site and all of the sudden all of the images started going crazy. I've done it over and over and the final effect is always a little different. Sometimes all but the new images show up, sometime only some of the images show up, sometimes none show up.

Consistently- new images never show up, but their empty boxes do. The text and layout never have a problem.

Old images, both uploaded files and vsd generated boxes, either show up or don't, and occasionally render in the place of a different image!

I've tried both CC Direct FTP and the onboard FTP in VSD.... same problem.

Could it be server side? I use ipage as my host.

It sounds like your files have gone out of sync. Here is what I would like you to do.

1. Go to the Publish Menu and select FTP Account Settings and select your FTP Account.

2. Verify that all information is correct and the Remote Folder path is not empty. Typically you would enter in a / or /public_html here but you need to confirm with your hosting provider what the correct path is. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THIS PATH IS CORRECT.

3. Go to the Publish Menu and select Choose a Publishing Destination and select your FTP Account and then click Save.

4. Finally, go to the Publish Menu and select Re-Sync Website.

With any luck, everything should be back to normal.
