When I use the picture tool to insert a png file it blacks out the background that is supposed to be transparent. What gives? VSD btw...

I saw the thread someone posted about ver 5.0.?? but I have ver 7.0 and no one really ever answered, just said wait for update. Help please.

If you do a forum search on (for example) "transparent png black", you'll find a few posts with similar questions. Apparently it is normal that the transparent part of the png shows up black in VSD. Should show correctly in preview and after upload though.

That is strange, and unfortunate, not a true WYSIWYG.

Some users apparently find that the 'black transparency' makes it easier to position the image on the working layout... And then you get the WYSIWYG when you preview. Not all bad, is it? ;)

I'm working with it, still appreciate what it lets me do not having to thumb through an html book. ;) I still say money well spent.

This just about drove me nuts, but I have to admit that it makes perfect sense. If the image showed as transparent, it would be very difficult to arrange graphics properly. Thanks for the answers, folks!
