Hi all,

I've read with interest the various gripes about the Shopping Cart software not being compatible with Paypal's 'Paypal Account Optional' facility - where the customer does not have to sign up for a Paypal account in order to complete the transaction. I've defected from Moonfruit (who could facilitate this) - & am therefore equally concerned about the lack of this facility here.

HOWEVER...

I'm very new to this so I might be missing something - but why not just use Paypal's Website Payments Standard shopping cart facility directly in VSD 6.0??!!

From what I understand, & I'm coming from this as a professional (WYSIWYG) website designer for others, your client will just need to sign up for a Premium account, and then from within that, you can 'program' & design all of the required buttons, entering product pricing details, etc. I imagine these could with the HTML tool be inserted in any VSD page.

Isn't this a workaround? Am I missing something?

It seems that this might allow best of both worlds - awesome VSD capabiliities, with the power & convenience of Paypal.
