Awesome idea Paintbrush, I found an addon for Firefox for the Pixel Ruler here:

Jo Ann, if you have the web-dev toolbar, there's a ruler in the Miscellaneous options. I also use the Information > display element info to get height/width and x/y coordinates of objects, etc.

haha never saw that there in the web-dev and have used it for a couple years lol. Guess I should explore settings more than I do lol, thanks again Paintbrush :)

which web-dev are you using in FF?
When I search, two pop up, on is rev. 0.6, the other is 1.1.9

I'm using the 1.1.9 version by Chris Pederick.

It may or may not have something to do with which OS you are running, as the most recent versions (I think) were made for Win7.
