Viv, Will Google sparse the words that are all together and be able to see them as individual words?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

what do you mean by sparse Eric (don't know that word in this context)? Personally I would separate the words with an underscore or hyphen. Google likes that when you're able to make the words make sense for it instead of making Google work out what it means. Especially if you have possible expletives in it which could cause not only confusion to the search engines, but bad assumptions. I saw a link the other day here (might have been this one with an interiorsexterior... where the word exterior was pluralized and had an s on the end. then went into exterior and of course if you look you'll see the word sex in there. So will Google and the rest of the search engines.

Anyways, not sure where I saw the link, was just a couple days ago and may have been a different one, but those things happen, and it's really a good idea to separate the words for the search engines to read them correctly.

Eric in the old days (coming from me thats in internet terms about 2 years)

If you did a google or Yahoo search (yahoo best test) delft clay cast signet rings

the url actually was highlighted in the result and it would from above have highlight each word, so if my url was deloreanjewellery.co.uk/handmadesignetsandrings

Actually do a YAHOO search, and select cashed and it does it throughout the whole page still (but not the url anymore :(

It does split it up though as required

I just googled workhorse painting sex, it was not found :( And i gave it to Greg in the singular, just checked for good measure

Google can read the link... himynameisadamandiliketoeatcookies.html

But it is not going to like it... Because your site needs to be easy to navigate to humans NOT Google bots. You should separate the link so that it is easier for humans to know what it says. So you would put hi_my_name_is_adam_and_i_like_to_eat_cookies.html

According to Google this is the proper way to display links. (Except for it being too long.) Google says to keep it short and to the point. Make sure it is relevant to the page you are displaying, and easy to read by your customers.

Just now went into google analytics had 3 crawl errors They were from the time recently I had been changing all of the site pg ID's (What is being discussed here) Two of them I lklicked and they linked to the pgs so I clicked them as fixed the third one was related to that one Jo Ann discussed a few entries above the one with the plurals followed by ex sex was shannon'sexteriorpaintingjob.html another problem was the apostrophe which was looking like a space. Anyway fixing that one gave me some good experience on fixing broken links or bad url's The one that was the error one was shanon did not have the double n's in shannon and had the apostrophe. When I put in the redirect I put the single n's on the original and on the new url and when I went to text it still failed. am new to this stuff so I thought it may take awhile to show up then upon closer scrutiny discovered the discreptancy of the n's in shannon
After several attempts I got the one n and apostrophy on the ones side and the two n's and no apostraphy on the other and did a fetch and succeeded in riding of the crawl error
Now I am being told I need to put the upper case space bar in between all of my words on my recently renamed pgs of the site,17 of them I believe

I put in 17 redirects dealing with the changing the pg ID's from index and pg #'s to pg content related names. Probably will need to put in 17 more redirects if I rename them all and put in the in between word bars?

The pg ID on this forums pg is very long but it does seem to have the hyphens between the words
