i've been using VSD for over a month. love it.
after choosing 'create a new site from themes. i can no longer see my present site.
i click icon to open. i get my 3 choices. when i click 'open existing site' it goes to
the backup page instead of the easy choices, where i just click on my web page

If you have created a site, to re open it you do not go to create a site from theme, you open an existing website.

Unless you have saved it as a theme, in which case it should be in create site from theme and a folder called my themes would be in there.

Generally when i save my websites i have a desctop icon called CC websites, and in it is a folder for each website i have created so that I save my website i am working on into its own folder.

So when i select open existing website, i then go to desctop, CC websites, find corect website folder (ie) Deloreanjewellery and in that folder are all my content pictures photogaleries etc and the .VNU file which i select to re open the website i want to update. (yours is somewhere similar)

Brand new hr so pardon the nub questions...

When first opening VSD I have the choice of opening an existing web site/page. But it takes me to my Docs and I don't hve a copy of my website on my comp. Is there a way to open a page that I have on my web site where it lives on the web??

No, The open existing will only apply when you've already made a site in VSD and want to open it.

If you have created a web site with VSD and uploaded it there would be a copy in the backup folder online. Alternatively you could save the site and recreate it which with VSD is easy to do. Actually the editor allows you to download a page at a time complete. From there you could extract parts or use the editor solely.
