Thought I should point out that Norton 360 categorizes the VSD download as "Reputation Bad", and removes the downloaded file.

Easy to fix by disabling Norton 360.

Support might to want to look into it.

That is strange. It must be in one of the latest updates of Norton. I have used Norton 360 for many years earlier and never had that problem.

Not a problem with Norton. It's something in your setup. I use Norton 360 and have no problem with CoffeeCup downloads..

If you think it is a problem, however, then you need to open a support ticket as this is simply a user to user forum. Go to SUPPORT on the menu and select 'Your Support Room' to open a ticket.

I just downloaded the latest version of Norton 360 and ran all the updates, and no error was displayed downloading, installing or when using it. Here is what Norton reports:

Maybe try going into Live Update and see if you have anything that needs to be applied.

I have the very same problem with Norton Internet Security (fully updated). NIS deletes Visual Site Designer installation file right after download.

Reason: WS.Reputation.1

My system is Windows 7 64bit (fully updated) and Norton Insight-option activated in NIS.

Have you contacted Norton support yet Kari? Running tests now again with Norton 360 and I still see the same report that the program is safe. What else would it be right? ;)

Hey Kari,

I also run Norton, and as we all know that items from CoffeeCup are good :D I simply opened my Norton program and went to 'Settings' Then under the 'Computer' tab look for 'Antivirus and SONAR exclusions'.

Then to the right look for 'Items to exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection'. Click the 'Configure' button to the right of that and add your CoffeeCup Software.

Voila! No more problems from Norton!

To be frank, guys, I learned many years ago that both Symantec and McAfee are on the wrong planet!

After much messing and nonsense from both over a decade or so, I gave up and after reading many threads and reviews I settled on a marvel which never bothers me but keeps things right (exactly what a proper Internet Security application suite should do) and I have never looked back since.

Unlike Coffeecup, this is not an application that excited me or that interests me greatly, but it does do its job. Also, I have no affiliation whatsoever to the product or the vendor etc. I am simply sharing my experience and my knowledge when it comes to protecting myself on-line and enjoying being on-line.

So, have a look and decide for yourselves, but I am a huge convert. This is my 5th year with them on 5 devices and I have absolutely no issues at all to complain about.

The software is here: http://www.bitdefender.com and I encourage you to give it a whirl and see if it works for you as well as it does for me, my business and my family.

While I'm at it, here's a review that kinda says it all:
