Noobe - is there a document showing...
I have created in different apps VSD, flash menu, and they do look good seperetely. my problem is I cannot find documentation on how to integrate the different files into one web site.
an example is I have created a web page with VSD and I have created menus with flash menu designer. I can save my VSD files but I must upload my flash menu I do not have a host iwould like to update to, instead I would like to save it on my machine and integrate it into the web page.
I've viewed the vidoes and it shows how to use the individual apps but not how to integrate. any pointers?
Thanks

Lets call your menu MYMENU1
Once you have created and saved your flash menu go into VSD, we will assume at this point that you have copied the HTML from FFS to the clipboard as instructed, choose the add flash option, go to the place you want to place the menu and then create a box, rectangle or whatever, it doesn't really matter just so you have a place to tell it to go, it'll take the space it needs and you can move it around once it's in.
You'll have a box open up and at this point you choose the add HTML option and paste the FFS HTML , you know the snippet you saved to clipboard, into this window.
Now go to your Settings tab up on top and scroll down to the add files option. You'll need to find all the files from your flash menu, there will be three of them named MYMENU1.xxx, and do a block copy to get them into your site.
That's it, you're done.
Preview the page and you can now finalize the position of your menu

Anthony, yes indeed, this is my main beef with the Coffee Cup software. All of the programs that I have tried work well alone, and even add successfully to a VSD site. I have found again and again that the problem comes when I try to change something, e.g. a menu, a new song on Juke Box, change the flash movie in Fire Starter, add a photo.
I then have to jump through all of the hoops that Bill talked about to get the change incorporated. Sometimes it shows on preview but not after uploading and refreshing, sometimes not.
I understand the difficulties software publishers have in maintaining current user manuals, especially as users rarely read them, only when they have a problem. Nevertheless, I, too, would love to see a comprehensive document on how to integrate these objects into VSD.
I am trying to compile a set of notes in a three ring binder to help me avoid the same pitfalls over and over.
Maybe CC could prepare a "Coffee Cup for Dummies" suggesting where to locate files, a simple procedure to effect the changes, et cetera. Advanced users could, of course ignore it.

I have an inferiority complex - but it is not a very good one.
I just found a new section on the CC site called Support Articles. See if this answers your question.

When working with Flash Menu Builder, if you use the Flash Tool, make a box as explained, then locate the XML file the menu makes, all files will be automatically added into VSD and then you'll be able to preview the menu.

Bruzer,
You might want to check and see if it still does. The last time I updated Flash Firestarter, which is the most current, it quit making the XML file. I have to copy from the clipboard.
If you have the latest version and yours is still creating the XML files then I need to start looking into why mine isn't. I just figured CC decided that since you could copy it to and from the clipboard why bother and take up unnecessary disk space

Hi Bill,
I thought you were talking about Flash Menu Builder, Not making A Flash Menu In Firestarter, Sorry. Firestarter doesn't make an XML file. I must have misunderstood Anthony. And Bass's problem as well. So far all the coffeecup programs work well together for me.
