I'm not sure this is the right place to be asking, but I appreciate any help.
I have created a html based self starting CD with VSD. This opens the crated website in the users default browser.
In the presentation I have linked to some pdf documents witch open in a pdf reader also installed on the CD so those who do not have a pdf reader on their PC can still see the pdfs without needing to install a reader.
My Problem:
When the user clicks on one of the links to the pdfs for the first time, the browser opens a window asking if he would like to save or open the file. If he clicks on open, then he must browse and choose the program he would like to open the file with. For an experienced user this is not a problem. But for less versed users this is not acceptable.
I thought that if I could prevent the pdfs from being savable, then the browser might just simply open the pdf with the program available on the CD. So much in theory - but how do I make the pdfs non savable?
Or perhaps this is not the solution?
Does anyone know what else I could try?
Sorry that I can’t provide a link since this is not online. Again I created an html based self starting CD.
Thanks for any suggestions.
