I just started using VSD.
Started creating my home page. uploaded everything to my host.
http://www.dave-so2.com/
the files are there, but when i access the site, you can see where the images should be but there is a red x in each spot.

What I did was enter text, then did use advance..drop shadow, etc....

Any ideas why the images do not show up?
I'm sure I must have to save something differently, but this is eluding me right now.

Hi David, Looks as if your files folder is missing. I would try republishing your site.:)

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

that seems to have fixed it..thanks.
Is that a default location that VSD needs?
I changed my upload address to include that /files directory, but it still does not upload to that folder.
it appears its putting files in a couple of different locations within the overall site directories when they are uploaded.

David I'm glad you resolved the issue.
The files directory is where VSD puts all the images it needs to render your site. All your HTML pages will be in the root of your site. You can end up with images in a different folder if you add the folder to you site in the add files menu then add an image to that then link using the URL tool.:)

At the top of VSD click on "Edit" then "Add files". Now you can create a new folder for you site and then browse your pc and add files to it. Then to link to these custom files you would use the URL tool in the Linking properties box. You'll see what I mean once you play around with VSD for a while. Just get use to the way it works now and have fun.:)
