I am having the same problem with v 7. This is a BIG problem for me. I have to see the linked documents.

When will it be fixed?

Incidentally, this wouldn't be so critical if the Link Properties box was wide enough to display the entire document name. Even clicking Browse doesn't help because it directs the user to the folder, and doesn't highlight the document.
