Hi,
I would first have the btn on the page-then click on mouseover on the top toolbar-then in the window that pops up click on create mouseover-then on the top toolbar click on the fill tab-where it says picture I would browse to the second button- save and preview. :) if your going to link the btn then this would be the time to do it.

If you're using VSD7, check out the new Buttonizer :D. The mouseover button is still there, but the buttonizer is fun and easy for menus, single links, anything with text (no pictures).

Click on the Shapes icon on the left menu, choose what you want then while it's selected click on the Buttonize icon. It will give you an area to type your text for the on and mouseover states, add your link and let you choose different text colors, button colors and effects. Have fun with it! :)

Logan-

Hopefully this is step by step and easy to follow-

To Create a Mouseover Button:
Create an original button on the page you want
click on the button to make it active and select Mouseover
in Mouseover properties select Create Mouseover
Now you have a toggle for the Original image and the Mouseover image
Click on the Mouseover image toggle, now you can select effects, fill color, font, or a .jpg on the mouseover object using the VSD program buttons. You can also adjust the size, but remember it cannot be sized to come in contact with another mouseover object.
Toggle back to Original image to make edits the same way. When done- Save your work

As paintbrush mentioned, in VSD 7 there is a Buttonizer tool which will give a button different 3-D effects in different colors. A button can be edited the same way using this tool.

Good Luck
