Mobile solution for VSD possibly ? -...

I think that tool isn't correct. I checked out coffeecup and it renders the whole page on my iphone on first upload. Now if I zoom up my display then the page looks like the tool displays. Wouldn't be easier to make a small cut down site and do a redirect for mobile users if they want it? I would think it would take a lot of testing to get a site that looks good on a 24" monitor and a mobile screen with a fluid design.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Every time I talk myself into the 2 site option, I come across yet another argument for responsive design.
The biggest drawback to 2 separate sites is content that needs frequent updating. PHP includes come to mind... but with VSD? Do Iframes work on mobile phones?
I'd like to be able to update one document that gets pulled into both sites.

It really comes down to what you need. I think a mobile site should be basic with a link to the full site. I would think only the most important information needs to be there. Phone numbers, email, and address. a few images would be good. I can't remember the one I was on a few weeks ago that was just a CSS or JQuery type nav menu that dropped down when you clicked on the nav bar at each level. It was very easy to navigate by my cellular communication device. :)

Edit found it.
This is a local ford dealer. This site is very well done for a mobile site.

I'm experimenting with a VSD site laid out to display well on a laptop or pad. Then will have a play with the JQuery mobile builder.
The client's customers are just as likely to be browsing on phones and pads as computers. They need to be able to check the menus, events/music calendar and a blog on any device. And all those items need to be updated frequently.
I'd like to build a responsive site, but I'll get the VSD + Mobi sites done quickly, then I can take some time to figure out how to use the template I got. I can always "upgrade" the site later. :)

I have set up the .net version now http://deloreanjewellery.net/

If its working your mobiles should see a new homepage with blue header with my delorean name and a little detail a logo below with three signet rings.

below that should be icons for contact, about, offers (items in brief) and ink to full website hopefully

worth a look
