I haven't tried adding any of these menus to VSD, but I'm assuming you use an HTML box to place it on the page. Is there a separate snippet of code for the header?
Why not add a really high Z-index number to whichever bit has the styles/positioning?

Don't know how to do that Paintbrush. VSD creates a different 'Object' for the menu on each page. They are not all named the same. If you can figure it out however, it'd be fantastic!

Because VSD uses z-index to layer all the objects you just need to add a small bit of markup to the software to make this work. I just posted new instructions on how to implement this in the link below. These new changes will also fix the problem with animated images and you no longer will need to use Advanced Text.

If anyone out there ever wants to know why i still use CC its because of the after sales service which is second to none
Scott has been working on this with me for 2 days, and to be honest i think i have taken up most of his day today from about 2pm till 8pm UK time
I think the support thread has hit 20 + pages most of which were today

Tomorrow as a result my two year old amateur looking website built by an amateur with a lot of help from forum members ( you know who you are) and Scott, will look far more professional.

Although semi retired now this website is my entire source of income, the last tax year ending april 2013 was quadruple the previous years turnover , and since then has doubled so far in the last 6 months, i will put money on it, its going to go way up from now onward.

if i go missing even more in the forum, as i have of late, you now know its because i am nailed to my workbench making clients orders

Thanks everyone for your help, and support, and Scott, Christmas is coming ;)

editing delorean site in signature with new menu asap

Viv, before you start on fixing the menu, I'm trying to find out if you can use 'object includes'. If it is possible, you can have the menu in it's own file and just place some code in the html box where you want the menu to appear. That makes editing the menu much easier and faster as you would have to edit only in one place.

I'm not at home and not on my own computer right now, but I will be tomorrow afternoon. Then I'll investigate this, and if it works, I'll create the code for you.

Inger if you are right about this, i think you will have every VSD & menu builder user singing from the rooftops

Its been my biggest bug bare with VSD from day 1, small price to pay for using wysiwyg, but a set of buttons on in my case now over 60 pages, and you have to edit each and every page, for a simple typo (in my case anyway) or a page link change

fingers and toes crossed

Gunsmoke, you obviously havn't spotted to many of my witticisms, in threads, i am on a cruise almost every weekend, and on average 9 to 10 weeks every summer, all be it on a narrowboat on the grand union canal :)

Thanks for the invite Viv! Don't know if I'll make it anytime soon. I was there for 6 years while serving in the US Air Force. Spent 3 years by RAF Upper Heyford, and 3 years by RAF Lakenheath. Loved it over there and would love to come back. Just finding the time is the problem.

As far as the cruise, well, a cruise is what you make of it...small boat-my dog-6 pack. My kind of cruise. Enjoy!
