Hi Iam trying to make a website with VSD ver 5.9.4. The site looks and runs great in the program but when I upload it to the web all the background colors, pics, and buttons are gone? I bet Iam doing something dumb? :/
Here is the link: www.casadelsoul.net and ill try to upload the site as a attachment.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Did you upload all dependant files? I would guess that you either didn't upload your pics, or they're in a different place than called for.

Someone has deleted most of the extra posts.

Your site says you are using VSD 5.8. Are you sure you are using 5.9.4?

Did you upload using the built-in VSD FTP or did you using a stand alone FTP?

I checked some of your jpg files, and they are not found (404 error).

Thanks Phil and sorry for the extra posts, site said they had not posted but seems they did? All the pics where uploaded by VSD I have not moved them? They are on the server where VSD put them.
If there is some editing I need to do I have no idea how to go about it. Every thing looks and works fine in VSD? I tought the software would handle where to put things when I uploaded? Thank you for your reply and sorry I pissed you off but as I said the site said the posts did not post?

Thank you Bill for the reply. I had started out with VSD 5.8 but thought the old software might be my problem so I downloaded the latest and have been trying that with no luck. I have all the pics in a folder called files. When I preview the site using VSD everything works great? I would think the software would be able to make the links work when I upload if they preview fine in my broswer? I have tryed using the FTP built into VSD and I have tryed using the FTP service on my hosts site. (godaddy). Every thing seems to upload fine?

yhvh11,

How did you upload the site?

Did you use VSD or did you use a stand-alone FTP program?

Was the upload interrupted?

Have you tried to RE-SYNC the website?

Yes Bill I have tryed to RE-SYNC.and I have uploaded many many times? I have not tryed to use a stand alone FTP program. It seems to me that VSD is not linking my pics or colors or buttons to where VSD puts them? I might have to edit the HTML files but I have no idea how?

yhvh11,

You can download a free FTP, and look at your site structure. You should see your pages, and a folder named files. Look in the files folder and see if you see anything with names like:

IMG_pene_0.jpg
IMG_pene_1.jpg
IMG_pene_2.jpg

I think there should be 0 through 9.

If those files are not there (or if the folder is not there), use the FTP program to upload those files.

Hi yhvh11.
I took a look as well and I noticed that all (your website) was loaded into the files folder
http://www.casadelsoul.net/files/

So I am thinking or wondering if your using the "save as" or "save"..
they are suely in the wrong place on your server, can I ask what is in your remote folder slot, in the ftp settings (located under settings-ftp settings)?
Thanks
