Hi my old laptop eventually died and i didnt have a copy of the files for my website - i have tried downloading from the server but whenever i do i seem to have problems getting the site back up in running i.e i donwload the files but dont seem to open when i open up coffee cup web design software - not sure if i should throw the towel in and just do a new site - there is probably a 2 minute fix to this but genuinely im not hot of web design so Im hitting a blank wall here:(

If anyone can help i would apprecaite it :)

If you have an FTP programme outside of VSD, like CoffeeCup Free FTP, CuteFTP or FileZilla, navigate to your website and locate the download folder. Inside it you'll find the .vnu file of your project. You need to download that. It can be opened in VSD, and then you can restore your project.

Also, it could be that the HDD from your old laptop is still intact. If you don't know how to find it yourself, maybe you have friends who can help. With some special cables you should be able to connect it via USB to your machine.
Ha en riktig god dag!
