Linking Documents - Post ID 216526
I'll try another rookie question. I have a document listed on the webpage which I want to connect to the actual document in my files. I created a link to the location of the actual document, C:\Users\Dennis\SC Coffeecup Website_website\sc coffeecup design 2_website\Documents. I viewed the page using the preview option and the webpage shows the document as a hyperlink. Is there any way of testing to ensure the link works?
Publish your site and click it.
If it works in the preview you can be pretty sure it will work online.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Might want to get rid of the 'spaces' in the link. That works in preview but some browsers don't do so well with spaces once the file is on the server.

Something you might want to consider is only referencing .files that have been converted to PDF files and have them open in a new window. Everybody has some type of PDF viewer whereas other document types aren't necessarily universally translatable. Not everybody uses Microsoft Word and there are WAY too many versions of it that aren't even compatible within different microsoft formats.

Thanks everyone. Mike, the file is a PDF file.
Plain txt files are also universal.
