Issue with VSD and banner developed...

I'm in the middle of a website build. Sorry that I can't post a link as I am yet to have it hosted.

I have placed a banner at the top of my site which includes nine images that fade in and out, developed with CC Flash Firestarter. This banner sits at the top of each page of my website.

The problem that I'm having is that when I click between pages the banner image doesn't show up smoothly like the rest of the site, but 'flashes' up. It arrives on the website just a little after the rest of the page.

I assume that the problem has something to do with the flash having to restart when you click to a new page i.e. if it's part the way through fading in the 9 images, when you click to a new page, it must go back to the start. Hope this makes sense??

I realize that this may be tricky to analyze without seeing anything but I was wondering if anyone knew of a workaround to place a banner of fading images at the top of a website.

Thanks - Brian

Are you saying you want it to run CONTINUOUSLY and not hafta start over each time someone loads a new page? OR are you just saying you'd rather there not be a delay when it restarts?

The speed at which the flash animation loads has to do with the speed of your internet connection, the speed of the server that your site is hosted on, and the size of flash animation. Very unlikely the prob is with your web host since ur not online yet :), so I would check the size of your images to be sure they aren't too large. I would also check to be sure there isn't a gap at the beginning of your Firestarter animation. I would also move this forum to the Flash Firestarter section and not VSD.

If you still have trouble, I would be happy to take a look at this for you, but you'll hafta give me something to work with ;)

Best wishes.
