...and I guess while we're in the text tool generally, would it be possible to include a function for bulleted lists and numeric lists? At the moment I'm either using the html tool to do this or, more often, adding graphic bullets which is not particularly elegant.

Unless someone knows a better way?

That's a good idea. I don't know of any other workarounds.

That feature has been in VSD since the release of 7.0. Just look on the Objects dialog and you will see it.

How cool is that! :)

Very cool Scott thank you very much. How many times have I looked at that dialog and never noticed! Duh!

I may be about to ask another dumb question but here goes ... are there release notes somewhere on each new release which details the major changes?

Most of the time you can always find this information in the Announcements area.

try alt255 -- you can then copy and paste the space so that you can work faster

hope this helps,

Just curious. Was anyone able to get the alt255 trick to work? It works for me.

Thanks,
yeto

If you use a solid color background you can use any text or as I do a dash the same color as the back ground to get the indent thats needed.:)

This looked like a good workaround, so I started using "____" (four underline characters) for my indent, then changed the color to match the background.

Good: The text looks like I want it to in a browser. (Satisfies my wife, who is the creative brains!)
Bad: The underlines print when I print a page through a browser.
Worse: The string "____" is listed as my most frequent keyword in Google Webmaster Tools!

I'd really like to see a working and elegant text indent method, without resorting to coding HTML.

Thanks.

Indenting and select sections of text using bullets is rather important to a current project I am working on. I started using the same color hyphen to edge things over and then I read that last post about key words. So I started using "Heat, Cool, Repair" as my spacers instead of hyphens...I bet you cant guess what kind of site Im putting up.

I should have a high number of relevant key words now.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
