If I understand your question correctly, I've used VSD to locate the pdf file on my PC then upload to the host. When I ran into this problem, I deleted the file then manually transferred via filezilla. Same result. Thank you for your help on this.

Where is the pdf actually located on your pc when you browse to it to during the linking process?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

The link on your web site is missing. If you look at the link as it comes up in your browser, this is what I get... http://www.academyatmbmsnews.org/files/Download/

The filename itself is missing! Check your link in VSD and make sure it is there.

This is the actual line of code on your page:
<div class="Object6953"><a href="files/Download/" ><img src="files/IMG_91.jpg" alt="" width="550px" height="186px"></a></div>

As you can see, the actual filename is missing. By the way, all your links are like this!

Gunsmoke (cool name) Yes, you're right the filename is missing. However, in VSD I am clicking on the PDF and hitting the "open" button. Eric, I tried uploading the file from two different locations just to be sure: 1) a directory in my videos, and 2) I found a download folder under "My Web Sites".

Note: I did change the name of this file earlier.

How can I get the file name to appear? Thanks again.

In VSD, when you click the 'Document' option on the Link window, then you browse to your document and click on it...in the box there on the Link window is it showing both the path and file name?

PS. I like the name too! Thanks!! :D

In the Document window, only the file name was in there. I dropped the window down and selected the full path (including pdf).

However, when I repeat the process to check, only the filename is in there, not the whole path.

??

We may be talking about 2 different boxes. The pic below shows what I am talking about. After you select your document, does it show the path and file name in this box ?

I figured it out. Incredibly, the reason the file would not appear was because I did not have the ".pdf" extension at the end of the filename! It's working now, thank you so much for your time and help on this.
