Hi all,

I'm new to Coffeecup and my website was built in an older version. I am now using version 6. Now that I have made changes, when previewing the page the banners on the home page and the gallery are missing.

Infusioncatering.co.uk

Can any one help. I have already done a resync.

Thanks

Hi Sylv!
It looks good from here (Firefox on Win. Vista) no missing images. Nice site!
Have you tried clearing your cache? Maybe you're not seeing the latest upload?

Also, you might want to upgrade to VSD7 so you don't get too far behind :D

Thanks for your help.

I haven't up uploaded the new site as I didn't want to upload it without the images, so the problem is showing on the preview only.

I have updated my version to 7 and this didn't work either.

:( Sorry - read you'd done a re-sync and thought that's what I was looking at.
Have you tried going to the add files box (under edit in VSD7) and re-loading all your pictures? When I moved my site into ver. 7 it was missing a slide show. I don't know why some files get "forgotten", but it was fine after doing the add files thing.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache? I just looked at the site in both the most recent version of Firefox and in the most recent updated version of IE8 and I see your banner on all the pages just fine. Try clearing your browser cache. I do this anytime a change doesn't take effect to make sure that it's not just that, that's usually the issue most times when that happens unless you forget to upload something lol.

Just to be sure, this is the image that I'm assuming you aren't seeing:?

It's there if that's the one :)

I have run into the problem of cached pages also. This may help. I have not tried it yet, but received the informatin from a different forum.

Solution: By adding a simple line of code to each of your pages, you can stop browser caching by 99%.

Please follow the below instructions....

1) Open your html editor.
2) Open up the pages that you do not want cached.
3) Insert the below code "Between Head Tag" as shown below

Quote:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache">

4) Save and republish the page.

Repeat the above steps on all the pages that you do not want browsers to cache.

Like I say, haven't tried it yet, but may help.

Thanks Guys for all your suggestions. I will try them and keep you posted.

And yes, that is the image that is missing. All the text but not the logo or black background.

Sylv - Have you tried adding it with the Add Files function? Besides clicking the picture icon and inserting it, also go to Edit > Add Files then browse to it and select it. This will make sure it's with everything that gets uploaded to your site. And make sure your image file is with all your other site files before you do the Add File - keep everything together and don't move it around!
Let us know how it goes :)
