Coffeecup visual web site designer works fine with IE but not with Firefox. Text is often displaced and overlaps.

What is wrong?

All to do with IE's box model, ie the space taken up by the border, padding and margin around the text or graphic. IE does it logically in that when you state the width of a box that is the space taken up by the item (text or graphics.) Firefox and most other browsers do it the W3C way that is the width of a box includes the border and the padding, so the space for the text is less. The general solution is to take up more space for your boxes, but really isn't satisfactory.

If you use Firtefox as your default Preview Browser and work with that, instead of IE, then you will have no spacing issues with Firefox, and IE should be OK as well.

So don't use the default internal browser, nore IE, but use Firefox and always preview your web project using that.
