address in VSD7 or was I dreaming? I know how to place a favicon the old fashion way using ftp but I thought I saw a box somewhere where I could do it through VSD7. Does anyone know if this exists?

Thanks,
yeto

There is no feature to do it in a single click, but you can add the markup to the header and use the Add Files feature to include the icon.

I have the following added to my website but my favicon is still not showing. Would anyone see anything wrong with my code?

added to header:

<link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon" href="http://www.mywebsite.com/htdocs/mywebsitefolder/cu favicon16.ico">

added to files:

cu favicon16.ico

Thanks,
yeto

I really think you do not actually own the domain mywebsite.com If you do, sell it for a million dollars fast! :)

You need to change the domain to point to your own website.

also you have a "cu " in front of the favicon image name that has no underscore or hyphen in it. You need to put an underscore _ or a hyphen - after the cu as spaces are not good to use in file or folder names for websites.

Thanks for all the help so far.

I now have the favicon showing on my home page. Is it possible to have it show on all pages?

Thanks,
yeto

Yeto, Usually if you place a pic named favicon.ico in the root directory of your website it will show for all pages.:)

hmm not sure, but I'm pretty sure I had to add that code setup above to each of my pages to include the favicon. At least I think so lol.

I thought I just added the favicon to the root but I do only have the code on the index page and it shows on all. I dbl checked and it's just more stable if you add the code.:)
