Is it true that you can't use VSD with a hyphenated URL? That's crazy!

I just paid for my domain name (with hyphens of course), hosting, and am about 50% done designing my website with VSD. Although uploads appear to go through OK when I visit the website it's not operational. Couldn't figure out what the problem was. Then I see a post in the forum saying that VSD doesn't support hyphenated URL's.

Really? Why? Can this be changed? Please?

Have you got a hyphenated url I could test it against?

I wrote an imaginary hyphenated url into vsd, and I had no problems with vsd accepting it.

Jimmy,

VSD contains a limitation that doesn't allow special characters in the PageID field (which get converted to the HTML file names during exporting). We don't care what your domain name is, and you should be able to type whatever you need to in the FTP Settings area.

Ok, thanks ... seems I got some bad info from a post on the forum and that wasn't the problem ... incidently I got my problem fixed by calling my hosting provider (godaddy) ... thanks for responding!

This can fixed by going back into the web site after the initial save and adding the hyphens.... it will let you!
