I see these directions are for VSD 7.0. Is the new version released yet?

It is running in beta now for a select group of S-Drive beta testers. If you have not signed up yet, you can go over to http://www.coffeecup.com/sdrive/ and enroll.

When I follow the instructions outlined above, should I be able to see my calendar offline when I preview the web page into which I have embedded it?

I don't use VSD Kathleen, but I am pretty sure you should be able to preview the calendar on the page both if it's the Flash or the HTML versions of the calendar. I can view them in the HTML Editor just fine, so I'm just assuming this should also work in VSD. You do need to be sure that all the code is in the right places and all the files are in the right places too for it to work so double check those to make sure all are in the correct locations locally.

Yes you will be able to preview it locally in VSD.
