What is your definition of 'Coffeecup frendly'?

I am having trouble uploading coffee visual and when i read some posts it looks like otheres are having the same problem

im using Godaddy and have no problems maybe I can help you.
ftp= yoursite.com
WWW=empty or can try /
username=********
password=********

also try selecting passive, or unchecking it.

I try this
ftp= yoursite.com
username=********
password=********
WWW=Test

Comes back with

Login = okay
Folder = Okay
Uploads = Error

........

Error:/******/Test?vsd.test: The directory is not empty



It is a new directory created through FTP and another i tried creating through Web Expretions also i tried Coffee to creat it by just placing a new folder name in the WWW folder entry. I have tried using both my account names for google live the tutorial does but still nothing works

Have you tried for the www folder: /test? (not the ?)

areyou getting an error "can not create catalog"?
I would say for now try another ftp program like coffeecup's free ftp or Direct ftp just to see if you get get to the root folder.

Bruce: thanks for the offer but im hoping i can stay with Godaddy and use the Coffee suite in conection with Web Expretions. I have already figured out how to insert a flash into my page using Web expretions

That page you mention doesn't show any flash, just a white rectangle.

Maybe you ought to contact CoffeeCup support and send them a copy of your upload log. Sometimes folders can't be created over ftp, we have had problems with that before.

What you also could try, is checking all your firewalls and anti virus protection to see if the permissions are set to let VSD through.

And since Bruce and you are using the same host, maybe the two of you could exchange information as to the permissions settings on your root folder at the server.
