Hi,

I am trying to work some SEO magic on my VSD (registered version) created website.

Google used to show searched/query words highlighted on the cached page. Is there anyway to bring that back?

Thanks in advance for any help,
yeto

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I would like to be able to see if there is any difference in the words Google highlights versus Yahoo. I have some friends on the internet who say Google still highlights their cached pages. I am running W7 and IE9 and I can't get the words to highlight. Would you have any idea as to something different I could try?

Thanks,
yeto

Am attaching the portion of the pg of the search results. Has highlighted search words it is on the firefox browser which I mainly use but I have the IE 9 set to default browser

I am happy with the search results I am near the top on the first pg but when I put in the word contractor as plural I do not come up near as well. Oh yes using vista home premium 64 bit

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, the words are highlighted in the search results but what I am looking for is when you mouse over to the right of the results and click on the cached page I want the searched words to be highlighted on the "whole" cached page. Google used to do this (Yahoo still does this) and some of my internet friends say that on their computer Google still does this but I can't get the searched words to show highlighted on the cached page on my computer.

Thanks,
yeto

Mr. R you are the king of this forum. Thanks for the link and taking the time to reply.

This is what worked for me after reading the above link and also visiting the Google forum from the link provided from the above link (did that make sense?).

I signed out of G but still could not get the highlights to work with IE9. I then tried the same technique with FF 13.0.1 and it worked.

Hope this helps someone else,
yeto
