I like the table feature in Kompozer. You could try creating your table using Kompozer and then copying and pasting the html code using the VSD HTML tool which would insert the table on your VSD webpage.

Hope this helps,

Thank you. I've got the table part down; my issue is inserting images into it :( Thanks so much for the suggestion and time

Is the problem inserting images or inserting a "large number" of images which would be time consuming?

the problem is kind of halfway in between. It's too many images to copy table code into an HTML object and then try to line up images in the right place. It's not too many to insert into the table code but I can't figure out how to make the img src paths work correctlly. (the one thing I haven't tried yet is to use a URL link for the image source; although that may be more cumbersome than some other alternatives)

couldn't you just place your images in a folder named "images", then the source being "images/photoname.jpg" and place in a table. align the images left and add some text besides it?
or am I missing something.

Maybe I don't understand what you are trying to do but couldn't you insert each image in its own cell within a table which would take care of the alignment problem and then associate a link to each image?
