HELP needed pleeease....

Urgent problem needs fixing. Using VSD latest version (not beta 7).

We need to do a special thing. We have links on the pages, but need the links on the page to be displayed in 2 different colours. Some of the links are in white and some in a dark colour.

The problem is this: We cannot find a way to make different links on the same page different colours.

We have over 60 pages and need to solve this as there are many links near the bottom of the pages that at the moment are not linked, but need to be by launch ( 1st December 2010).

The codes found on other threads don't solve this issue.

Post a solution anyone please....

Free SnowBall Pass for anyone who manages to help.

If the links are in the form of text, use the allow advanced text option, to turn them into an image by selecting the effect tool, tick top left box, and set everything to 0

then select fill and make them whatever colour you like

And if you use mouse over effect you can make them all turn silver or something when you run your curser over them, and not use mouse over on the page you are on so its effectively displays what page you are on

That works great....but the problem with this solution (which I did not mention before - Apologies) is that robots scanning the site won't pick these links up as they are now images.

Is there a way to either set the links without them being images or a work around so they are picked up by google for example?

Thanks for the help so far.....

easy add alternative text to the buttons, google will like them then

And "robots scanning the site won't pick these links up as they are now images.", they will follow the url that you add as as the physical link as well

Hey your in the non technical VSD newbie thread, don't ask me technical stuff

after changing your links to images etc, as suggested, and you have uploaded it, try running CC Google site mapper, it will tell you exactly what is going on, and you should load it to server anyway

I am in Uk "Where do you want your Free SnowBall Pass sent?" not sure there of much use to me are they ?

I suppose i could flog them on Ebay, or see if anyone in CC forum would like them

Thanks for all the help. Are you in the UK? if so, The SnowBall Pass could be lots of help as it's valid across the French Alps. You do need to be a skier or boarder thought.

If you want the passes I'm happy to send them to you.

Just pop on the old site, snowballpass dot com and the contact page and email your address.

Thanks again
