Graphics on Home Page not showing up...

I'm not sure what is going on here and I was hoping someone could take a look and help me out. I am scratching my head. The link is websbycheryl.com/testtwo and it's the home page I am having trouble with. I had it working just fine at one point but now it has goobered. Everything is present in VSD and it even looks ok in preview, but when I open the page in the browser, none of the graphics are there but the flash object is there. I thought maybe the flash was interfering somehow with the other graphics so I removed the code and re-uploaded but still the same thing happened. All of the other pages seem to be working fine.

I have been up since 4:30 this morning and that might have something to do with it. So I am going to go to bed now and hopefully someone will have had a chance to look at this at some point.

Oh, did I mention that the flash was made in flash fire starter and I have all of the generated files uploaded to the server, however, the computer I created the project on is on it's way to TX to get fixed and even though I backed everything up, it appears that the projects folder from flash fire starter was not one of them. I would dearly love to not have to recreate the flash. Not a big deal I am sure, but I had it just the way I wanted it and I don't want to spend the time to recreate it and then not be able to get it exactly the way it was before.

Thanks Everyone!

2 things I see right away...

1. update to the latest version of VSD. Should be Build 26

2. go back through your website and rename all the files/directories with spaces in them. For some reason spaces do cause problems. They work in preview, but not very well on the internet.

Let us know after that, and a re-upload, if you are still having problems.

Justhost did a major upgrade to their server a while back, afterwards every photogallery i had FAILED

it turned out to be spaces in my image names, the upgrade did not like

picture of hippo.jp changed to picture-of-hippo.jpg cured them all

so gunsmoke might be spot on :)

Oh I get what you are talking about. But the graphics I am talking about are the ones I created on the page in VSD so I didn't name them, VSD did. You know they are named things like IMG_1.jpg, IMG_2.jpg and so on. The graphics that are my files and not VSD created files are the logo and the menus system and they are there plus it looks like one little red strip of something at the bottom that VSD created. Hmmm.

The images that are showing do have spaces in their names.;) Looks like she got it fixed.

I am updating my VSD now. I didn't have the current version. I had to resort back to my desktop because my laptop monitor died and it had to be shipped to the manufacturer for repair. Ugh! It has thrown a big monkey wrench in my flow right in the middle of the busiest time of my year so far.

I will say, however, that I just copied all the contents of the home page to another page and deleted it all off the home page. Then I drew several shapes on the home page in VSD and put a link to the new page from the home page (the triangle is the link). The new page with all the home page stuff works just fine.

Hmmm.

Ok, I resolved it. First, I updated my VSD, then I purchased the CC Direct FTP program -- nice! Why didn't I buy that sooner? Next, I removed all the files except the ones related to the flash project off the domain and then I resynced the website and let it load back up. That seemed to resolve the issue whatever the issue was. One thing I noticed was that with the old version of VSD, it was putting the html files in the VSD files folder on upload. I don't know what was going on with that. But, in any case, the issue seems resolved.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I really love these forums. I have learned a lot here and it's nice to have a community to talk to about websites.

Have a good day!

I've also been trying to figure that one out for a long time.;)
