VSD works just fine until I want to change servers. I now am getting
230 Login successfuL
211-Features: EPRT EPSV MDTM PASV REST STREAM SIZE TVFS 211 END
257 "/"
550 Failed to change directory
550 Create directory operation failed.

This is being returned from both servers: ftp.sunpaster.com (ftp.fatcow.com); and Network solutions 01eedde.netsolhost.com (www.cowcorners.com)

This problem occurred way back when but I have only been using the one host since getting VSD to work with Fatcow. Today I tried to use VSD to create a site for cowcorners.com and found I could not get ftp settings to work properly. I also find that when going back and forth between the two .vnu files I lose one or the other of the saved profiles in the ftp settings block. They will both remain until I log out of VSD but on reopen one or the other is lost.

Now I cannot get anything uploaded to either server under any condition. I tried reload and reboot.
Help! Thanks.

Hiya Jerry,

What version of the program are you using and have you put in a support ticket on this issue? Sounds like a support ticket would be something you should do on this.

Have you tried checking the Passive mode check-box to see if that helps any?

Using version 6.0 build 6. Will first try to do another download and then will look into a support ticket. Thanks.

Did a download. Worked! Now up and running on either server. I have found that Vista sometimes does odd things to downloads. I keep updated and I am proud to say my Vista works well for me. CoffeeCup has always been good. My records there don't show it but I bought my first CoffeeCup through BlueDomino (entire suite) back in 90's. Haven't been able to find original email address so I had to rebuy what I have now. Thanks for keeping this forum up to date and responsive.

Well, well, well. Seems I jumped the gun. I was able to connect and open director in both servers only one time. As soon as I left VSD and returned, my error returned. Going four the support ticket. Thanks.

Well I sure do hope you get it worked out, that's a new one to me so unfortunately I'm not a whole lot of help here. Please do come back and let us know what the problem is when you do get it fixed so it will help the next person that has this problem if ever someone does, good luck on it Jerry :)

Have gone to Network Solutions and they have reset my account. Still not able to open files on server. When I try an upload with VSD to NetSol I get a message, "program unable to create a directory", which indicates the problem must be within VSD. What do I do now?

I would suggest opening a support ticket so one of our techs can take a closer look into this for you.
