I create several webpages as a business. My biggest issue right now is the FTP upload process. I cannot tell you how many times I've uploaded the wrong webpage. It drives me crazy. Is there a way to tie the FTP to each VSD file so I don't have to change it each time?

Hi William, i asked the same question after over writing a few of my sites. I was told this is being addressed in the new version of VSD. Not sure of the specifics

Thanks Scott. When will version 6.1 be available and will it be a free upgrade for current software license owners? I hope so.

Hiya William,

Although I can't answer the "when" part of your question, I can definitely tell you that there are never upgrade fees for any of CC's software. That's one of the greatest things about CC! When you buy software from them, you have free updates and upgrades for life! Enjoy the anticipation :)

Except when you upgrade from the standard edition of a program to the pro version. An upgrade fee would be applied.

I like this new feature because, yes, I've overwritten my files a couple of times. I now have a habit of going to the FTP settings several times before I upload things. And I have also found out that if you start then cancel an upload into the wrong FTP file, it does the same thing -wipes out your site.

I just came up looking for the answer to this very topic!

Good to know it is being addressed. Mean while I guess I'll have to be darn sure which ftp site I'm accessing
