Previously, I have always written my own (somewhat simple) HTML/CSS but I am currently updating a client's site using Coffee Cup software for the first time. I have a font problem that I don't know enough and can't find enough directions to figure out. I used sIFR Font Maker for two fonts that I would like to show on the site (Marketing Script and Consolas). I've uploaded the two corresponding .swf files to the index_website folder. The fonts not showing up on the website (unless already installed on a given computer). Have I missed a step? (In any directions that I've found, I did come across something about these files now being ready for sIFR program but have no clue what that means)

Here are a couple of the pages - the blue headlines are supposed to be Marketing Script, and the quotes between the gray lines are supposed to be Consolas.

I don't see any code in your pages such as Website Font generates. Are you trying to use the flash fonts without Website Font?

I guess that would be the step I'm missing. I will check it out. Hopefully, it will be user-friendly. If you have any tips for mistakes to avoid, they're certainly welcome . In the meantime, that one little question you asked is VERY helpful!!!! Thanks so much for answering.

In that case, give the trial version a try and see if it can do what you're attempting. I believe it only works with text headings, so you can style h1 text with one font, h2 text with another font, etc. You can also skip heading sizes, so you may want to use a flash font with h3 headings, but not with h1 or h2 headings which will use regular fonts.

Also, the sIFR method only uses the flash fonts with browsers supporting javascript and flash. Anyone else will just see regular fonts.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
