I did have a favourites icon displaying on my site until I added Photo Gallery.
After creating a gallery I uploaded it and had a message saying that the favicon.ico file couldn't be found.
I've been trying to reload a favicon without success.
I added the icon to my root folder with Edit/Add Files and the edited the header file with this:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.stagecraftfilm.com/img/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
<link rel="icon" type="image/ico" href="/img/favicon.ico">
Still nothing is showing up, I've emptied my cache, reloaded the page, still no luck.
Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks - Boyd

I would delete the reference to in the "Remove files" then try adding it again to your site through the "Add files".
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Thanks Rolly, I have tried that to no avail.
I just did a reboot, emptied the cache, will try again.

nope.
Would the size of the icon have anything to do with it 16x16 vs. 32x32?

Here' a funny thing...
Earlier today I generated a new favicon at favicon.ico.uk.
After I downloaded the icon file I also did a copy/paste of their html code.
When I uploaded the code I realized that I had left their line in the code that reads www.yournamehere.etc
After I uploaded that file my site was displaying the red Favicon icon.
I subsequently removed those files, reloaded the html with my site's name in place and now nothing.
I'm stumped.:/

No, I know the file isn't making it to the server, I just don't know how to fix it.

I would try a resync.

You have way to many favicon links in your header.
<link href="favicon.ico" rel="shortcut icon">
<link href="animated_favicon.gif" type="image/gif" rel="icon">
<link type="image/x-icon" href="http://www.stagecraftfilm.com/img/favicon.ico" rel="shortcut icon">
<link href="/img/favicon.ico" type="image/ico" rel="icon">

Eric, those are likely there due to repeated attempts to upload the files and getting the favicon to work.
I did try to remove those via the remove file option in the edit flyout but only one file was shown there.
Guess I'll need to log onto GoDaddy to remove the files there.
Beginning to wonder if this is more trouble than it's worth.
