I have VSD 6.0 and want to design my index page with a large maybe 200x300 slide show of different pottery products that fade or dissolve from one to another about every 4 sec. Would i need something like flash firestarter for this or is there a different or better method or software to use. Thanks for any suggestions Wyndham

you could use Firestarter forthis as well as Photo Gallery, download the trial programs and check them out and see if they fit your needs.
( if you don't have them)

Bruzer,I can see firestarter withn a window on a page. i had thought that photo gallery would have to be on it's own page. Photo gallery would be great to use because a link to a larger group of photo will be one of the things i will do. I will download it but do you have a quick heads up on how a slide show can be put or inset into a table or frame on a page or am I not thinking correctly on this matter

you can have both on the same page as a matter of fact, I think your choice of Firestarter is a better idea to the fact it doesn't have the fade in and out of images just basically a slideshow. How to in a frame or table?
are thinking iframe here? or is your website made of frames?

I tried photo gallery but I can't seem to get beyond the preset themes. What I wanted was what you link to for the flash but put it in flash box in a page, no theme or cells.
I was thinking that my home page would be better with images coming and going like the link you gave but have text around the box that tells about my pottery shop. the rest of the page is normal links to other pages and sites. photo gallery is too cute for business purposes and I can't see how to choose no theme, if there is one. I guess one saves the album then finds the xml code to put into the flash window as you mentioned in the other post Right, Wrong,maybe???

OK! then the answer would be to use Firestarter Wyndham,
When you first open Photo Gallery it has a welcome screen which you just select cancel and it will go to the normal gallery without themes, and then you can resize it to fit your needs. I would in your case use Firestarter, with some text ontop and the images fading in at the bottom. Flash box I think your talking about an iframe or container which can be done as well to show you what I mean need some time to do it lol

or even an intro page they could watch your flash and click enter or skip intro button to go to your homepage.

you can plae your image in the center and type around it, it's the only way to wrap your text in firestarter. Photo Gallery you can prepare an html file and link each image to that html file, alot of work I know but it's effective.
