Hi all, this might be a really stupid question, but I understand the value of having a facebook link on a customer's site. However, on looking at facebook, I can't find a simple way of putting one of those 'find us on facebook' or 'follow us on facebook' or even the big F!

Any tips?

Hi, that's the link I was looking at. Do I need a social plug in? What is it that I need just to have an icon on the page?

Just take the <iframe> code block and past that into VSD using the HTML tool located on the left hand toolbar.

Janet, What do you want on the website. It's completely up to you how much Facebook integration you have.

Here's one way

<iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fcoffecup.com&amp;layout=standard&amp;show_faces=true&amp;width=450&amp;action=like&amp;font&amp;colorscheme=dark&amp;height=80" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height:80px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

Click on the HTML tool in VSD and paste the code into the body HTML. Change the coffeecup.com to your url.

Hi, I did the above, pasted the code in, and all looked fine - except that when I published, all the text on the page had gone! This happened twice. What have I done?

Janet, I know you don't want to publish a messed up page, but it might help someone figure out what's going on if they could get a look at the code :)

(are you sure you pasted the FB code in the body and not the head? also, check the size of your html box -make sure it's only large enough to hold the FB button code.... that's all I can think of. :( )

Janet make the HTML box 250 wide by 30 tall. As Painbrush said make sure your putting the code into the Body HTML of the HTML tool.

Here's an example using the code provided.
