win 7 64bit VSD 7.24 registered

Similar to a previous post by Sarah. For some reason when I click preview (Google Chrome) it opens Open Office word document. Works ok if I set preview to open Firefox. I tried uninstalling Open Office as I don't use anymore. It now opens with Chrome (default) with an error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000a5) click ok to close the application. I have tried reinstalling VSD and Google Chrome.... worked ok for a few times but now error is back intermittently.

System restore... still the problem but noticed the error occurs when opening Chrome from scratch using the preview button. If it's Chrome already open seems ok.
