Is there a way that I may get in touch with you for some individual help?

Thanks,
Galen

As far as I know, Eric is stuck in the snow in Wyoming at the moment. When he sees your question, he will be able to get in touch with you. Just wait for warmer weather ;)

That's a question I'm almost too afraid to ask about a lot of individuals these days... Especially ones I work with at night ;)

I didn't know how else to ask. I didn't know if it would go against forum rules to ask how to contact an individual forum member.

I am trying to set up a rotatng picture on our club's website using Eric's instructions from the tutoria on his website. I have gone over it about a dozen times, following instructions to the "T", without success.

So I figured I'd ask for help and see see if he could connect remotely to my computer and show me what I am doing wrong. If any of you are willing to do that it would be great.

I am willing to pay a reasonable fee for your help.

The website is www.rascal.cc and I want to place rotating pictures on the front page where you see a picture of "pizza boy".

Thanks,

Galen

There is nothing saying you can't contact someone through the forums. But nobody will give out Eric's address without him having said it's ok.

I had a look at your website. What exactly do you mean by 'rotating'? Something like this: http://www.eikweb.com, bottom of the page, or like this: http://www.johnsflats.com/new (work in progress)?

An example of what I am trying to do is on Eric's website:

Of course I will have the pictures smaller and want them in the exact location of the single picture I described in my above post.

Thanks,

OK, that is in principle the same thing as I have on that above mentioned site which is in progress, only I have used a different script, which you can find on Dynamic drive.

I'll play around a bit with Eric's example and see if I can get it working...

Here, study these files (unless you have heard from Eric in the meantime). I think it will be best if you just use them for reference and create your own slide show. But it was not difficult. The size of the slideshow is diplayed according to the images you use.

I'm not particularly good with VSD, so I had to create this thing in the html Editor first... ;)

Galen, I've used this script before in VSD – here's one example:

http://www.miriamswitchingpost.org/

I can't find the script in your source code (or any other photos). Have you actually gone through it step by step? Where are your photos for the slideshow? have you got them all together in one folder? Be sure they are all the same size and use simple names – lower case, no spaces or symbols.

I made a folder called 'slideshow' and put that in my website folder, then saved the un-zipped jquery script and my image folder to it. So I have (for example) the main folder – "My Website" and within that folder there are the .vnu file, Files folder and slideshow folder (containing the script and images). Get everything organized first, then you'll be ready to follow Eric's (or Inger's) instructions.

Could you describe what you've done so far?
