i did my website w/vsd....nothing fancy but i'm ok w/it BUT when i try to edit it or update it...i delete the specific page from the server and upload the updated version....the entire website changes....pictures appear in the wrong place, etc.....do i have to rebuild the entire website and upload it as a single entity just to update a calendar entry and keep everything in its' proper place....

You should also upload the "file" folder. Thats is the images are indexed and linked to your pages. If you change a page, and dont upload that folder with the updated images, you will get exactyl what you describe.
