This is something we are checking into right now, but I don't have an ETA. I would suggest you keep backups and never save over the original vnu project if you can. This way when we have a fix, your original vnu file will automatically be corrected.

Thanks for the response. I can't keep backups and just wait until it is fixed, because these sites are being updated daily. If I had to go back to a backup in say a week or two, the info would not be up to date.

Linkng text can only be done if it is in the "Advanced" mode because if you remove the advanced mode then the link box won't allow you to do anything. What I have discovered in version 6 is that the only thing I can link text to is another page on my site. If you try and link text to a web address - the http:// will disappear and then VSD tells you that the file does not exist.

I can link pretty much anything to anywhere but I can not link text to anywhere but another page. I can bypass that by inserting an object with text. However; I would like to be able to link a name or a phrase in my text content but am unable to do so. It looks pretty stupid with an object in the middle of the text so I have to place the object at the bottom - which I really don't like.

On previous versions I never had this problem. Is this just a glitch in version 6 or was it changed in the new version for some reason?

Has anyone else run across this? I'd really like to be able to use text as a link instead of having an overrun of objects on my pages.

Which build of VSD do you have?

The latest version of VSD should have fixed the link issue. Take a look at the first message in this topic:

I went to the link and I downloaded the build 4 version - still no luck. Objects link to external sites but not text.

Please see my reply to your other post. I am unable to replicate any problems here. It could be the address you are using is not being recognized by our software.
