CSS Drop Down menu behind text below...

I found one thread that related to this, followed the process for adjusting the z-index, but nothing seems to work.

I have created a menu in CSS designer. Using just one of the default themes in VSD, I inserted the menu through an HTML window. The menu works just fine except that it appears behind any text the sub menues drop over.

I have edited the z-index as z-index:1000; and sent all the affected web page text to the back, and the drop down menu still falls behind the text.

Not sure what to try next. Any ideas?

OK, something just came to mind while I was dwelling on this problem. I read somewhere about something on "advanced text".

I happened to select one of the text boxes and viewed its properties in VSD. I saw the check box for "Allow Advanced text". So I checked that.

I then saw I had the ability to send the text "BackWard" where before I could only bring it forward or send it back alternately. I sent it "to the back" and it disappeared, So brought it front again.

So, I then just sent it backward. and checked the menu. No Change. Sent it backard again, and Lo and behold, the menu was now On Top"

The hints were all here in the discussions, but it was not all in one place to help put it together correctly.
