Cross Browser problems

This probably a very daft question, but I created this site test.nannerchgolf.com for a friend, she sent it to her brother to look at who uses Firefox, but the text was all wrapped wrong, and the button text overlapped the buttons. Is it the font? How do I make it compatible with all browsers?

I checked the site using the latest IE, FF, Chrome, and Opera browsers. Everything looks good to me. No overlapping text or button text issues.

Not everyone will have Candara (font) on their computer (it came with Windows-Vista), and whatever their system defaults to might not have the same "footprint" (letter-spacing). So the substitute font might take up a little more space than Candara, changing the look of the paragraphs.

That's odd, I don't hav Vista! I'm still using XP, but despite this, is there anything I can do to stop it happening?

I would try a standard web font.

There's just no way to predict what fonts someone else will have installed on their computer, so stick with the standard fonts to be on the safe side
I just had a look at the site on my Linux net-book. It doesn't have Candara on it - way messed up.

Wouldn't Website Font be good for this and just add a title or alt tag with it being a flash font.

The computer's display also has to be set to 96dpi. This is something you can't control.

I believe it's also installed with Powerpoint. If you don't have that, then it's a mystery...

I'm using XP and it looks fine in FF but I do have Power Point so maybe that's why then.
