Readme.txt in My Themes folder

Just place the .vnu, .vns and _website folder of the theme you want to use in this
directory, and it will be accessible from the themes dialog within your application

This does not show in the application dialog. True I can navigate to the location but I should have a choice of categories, like be able to use My Themes from the dialog. Not a biggie but would be good to show all categories in the theme folder. Wouldn't stop people buying CC'c themes just allows us cheapskates to make our own and access them easily. The software does allow for theme creation and does it well.

I am really giving this program a dusting and yes it will whistle Dixi (Easy an Onload event) especially after I have nudged it along a bit. It does the lot Javascript, Java, VB script and good ole PHP. If it could only find my pdf's or call them by the right name..

I might miss understand what you are trying to say here BUT
if you create a theme and do SAVE AS THEME it goes into themes my themes
and you can then open in vsd by just going to my themes.

I did have a problem initially understanding how to name things correctly, but once i worked it out, they did appear in the right place, you may be having the same problem i had in naming them so they are not going where you expect them to go.

same principle as i said before, do a dummy theme, and try a few naming options, untill the correct one is found and therefore works.

Ah! I did not explain properly. When you open the option "new website from theme" all I get is the default themes not any I have created. Yes I know I can navigate to my themes and choose one there.

To make a location easier to find I have dedicated a spare 4gig flash drive to Themes and all other graphics I have on my system. I have to clear all data as I do a reformat and rebuild every year. Makes a tremendous difference only loading the programs I am about to use.

I agree with you I like pressing all buttons and see what makes something tick. But I do believe in getting answers the fast way too.

When I open the option "new website from theme" I get default themes & My trial themes & Wedding car themes & jewellery shop themes which are all my home made themes are in there

Its as i said , a question of using the CC tool as designed to put them in there, as usual they thought of that too, its just not as obviouse as the rest of VSD. ;)

Viv I am missing something I created a page and saved it I then chose save it as a theme. I added a category and name and clicked create.
I closed the program. Re started it and clicked on on new website from theme. All I get it the default category ?.
I realise I am doing something wrong but what. I will try and find out what I am doing wrong

Did you see the little link on the save as theme dialog that tells you to move the theme you just saved to a certain location.:)
