Hi,

I'm trying to set my ftp settings but it keeps coming back with wrong username and/or password. I have triple checked it and tried passive mode and all the other tips to no avail.

Just wondering if could have anything to do with my site being a .com.au (australian site) instead of .com?????

No it has nothing to do with the fact you are com.au
You mentioned username and password but you also need to fill in your ftp for you host.
What are you typing into the box caller server? this is where your hosting ftp info goes.

I'm keying in ftp.domain.com.au into the server field, I've tried it without the ftp before it, I've tried www. (etc) I've also tried the ips address but it still comes back with an error. In the www. field it is: public_html

I am no expert but try this

host name theoutback?????.com.au

your username sent to you by your hosting company likely to be first 4 or 5 or 6 characters plus a number

password supplied by your hosting company (if you have not changed it)

might be a good idea to go to your previous post and remove your hosting account name !!!

Some hosts require ftp. and some don't. Also make sure the port is correct.

If all else fails, this is a perfect opportunity to test out the hosts support system.
