Help ! lol...
I started using coffeecup visual site designer a few months ago to design simple websites for people. I would also do the updates for clients.
But now, I am having clients approach me wanting me to do the website design, but after the website is built they want to be able to do the updates on their site themself through CMS. My questions:
1) Is it possible to design a website (using VSD) for a client who lives in another state, and then the client takes over the updating through CMS ?
2) If yes is the answer to question #1, what do I need to have, and need to do to make it so the client can take over the updatiing of their own site through CMS ???3) and is this process of having the client take over the CMS and updating their own site after I build it a fairly straighforward and simple process ?
In other words (a bad analogy), the client wants me to build a car, then they want to be the one to drive it.
Please help...lol

CoffeeCup VSD and CMS - Post ID 162774
I'm not sure exactly what CMS is, but that may be because I'm new to the game...
VSD publishes a "back-up" .vsd file alongside the html pages on the server, so your client could just buy VSD, then download the .vsd file from their server and make the necessary changes.

I have another question...
I have been using coffeecup visual site designer to design simple websites. I have now been asked to:
1) build a website featuring an ecommerce shopping / purchasing (using credit cards)
2) build a website featuring a "blog" so the client can blog daily via CMS.
Question - CAN ecommerce and blogging be built using CoffeCup visual designer ???
If so - what would I need to do ????
Thanx for your help - much appreciated....

VSD can, but it is not recommended.
S-Drive comes with a great stream feature which works much like a blog. The best thing is - you can get it free.
Depending on how professional you want your online store to be, I would recommend the E-commerce Pack or the pro versions of those programs: Shopping Cart Designer Pro and Shopping Cart Pro
