Dear Sir or Madam this is my first time responding to the online community here at coffeecup.com and I'm not sure I am doing it correctly so I apologize beforehand.

My question to the community. I am doing a rebuild on my site in visual site designer and all is going fine but I can't seem to find away to enlarge a thumbnail once on my website. To be more clear. You often see on an image the text "click to enlarge" so a visitor can click the photo and the exact same photo appears in the same page just larger. If there is a way to do this please let me know or let me know if this is not a possible function in VSD.

Thank you,

Dan

Dan - I split this out from the original thread that you posted in, so it will "hopefully" get noticed more easily. Sometimes postings of "new" topics get lost within existing threads. I'm sure someone with knowledge of the inner workings of VSD will jump in to help you shortly.

Phil Thank you. I was wondering what happened to it. After I posted I noticed I was sort of in the wrong thread. Again thanks.

A little more information would be helpfull
Is this for numerous thumbnails on one page with numerous large images, or just an occasional image ,

if the latter, you can achieve this by putting large image on its own VSD page and using buttoniser, add link tool, and open (TARGET) i think it is new window blank, if you make the page a liitle smaller than full page it will appear to float on top of your open page.

other options are a little to technical for me so somoen else will help.

Viv Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. This is more for the latter. The website we are constructing has about
6 to 8 images on each page. It is not a gallery but a small image of our products with text along side describing it. I would like people to be able to click on it and a larger version appears where they can see the detail. If I create a VSD page with the large images would I do a seperate page for each image or could they all sit on one page? I would then hide this page or pages so it isn't visible when people visit my site? I am understanding this correctly? Then I would set the links to each image?

Thanks

Eric Hi,

Thanks for the information. I went to your progrower site and looked around. The link "mouseover tool tip" is what I am looking to do. How did you accomplish that in VSD? That is just beautiful. Please let me know.

Thanks

All the instructions are on that page. Read through them and take a shot at getting it to work. You really can't break anything.;) I help you if you get stuck.:)

Eric thank you I read through it all but it is so far beyond me. Every website I ever built was in a template based program called "sitedeluxe". I looked hard for that program and it is just beautiful but it is proprietary to "Fatcow" and Endurance International who owns many hosting company's under their umbrella. I had my site "J12Increaser.com" with them for 3 years. I loved them and learned that program so well and could make incredible pages but it was not HTML. I chose to leave because the J12 Increaser product, a wonderful product conflicted with the terms of service and it just wasn't serving us anymore. I was an amiable split and a difficult choice. We bought the coffeecup software years ago to build the site "WalkYourDogWithLove.com", also a great product, but someone essentially did it for us and we really don't have the ability to alter it much nor the option to engage someone at this time. I took a stab to see if I could do it for the J12 and am doing fine but having to use code to accomplish some tasks is just note in my realm of abilities and overwhelming. I wish there was an easier way. I read your instruction but am pretty much stumped after number 1. Any other sugggestions I am all ears and grateful and veryl frustrated.

Thank you,

Dan

I'll steer you through this and you'll learn a couple of things that will get you more comfortable with VSD.
Do you know how to add a new folder in VSD?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
