changing the location of my website...

I created my website with visual site designer on my old xp PC, and i now have a new win 7 laptop, i have loaded the software on and i have opened my saved website, but when i go to upload website it cant find some of my files because they where stored in a different location, is there a way to change the file locations.

David - you are right... MS changed the file structure between XP and Win7 and this does cause some problems. It has been discussed on here before, but I'm not sure which thread. You might try looking through some of the support articles that CC has on the site.

When VSD tells you a file is missing take a look at the path then make sure you remove the offending reference with the remove files tool then add back the element from it's current location on your pc.
This is why you should keep a folder just outside the my_websitename folder that VSD creates with all the content that you add. It not only makes it easy to find them later for editing but makes backing them up a snap.

So i did what you said and published website, but something is not right this is the first time publishing since updating to win 7, take a look www.ipcomms.co.nz, everything looks ok when i do preview. Any ideas

Try refreshing your browser or clearing your cache if it doesn't look right.

I don't see any real problems.
Ok I did some poking around and found some text that's white so you can't see it and a flash object that's not showing.

should look like this, i have noticed that when doing a test connection, the upload part fails.
Do you have copies of all the files on your host some where safe? I would clear your server and try resyncing.
