I'm having the same issue too. Windows XP Pro. VSD v6. Never had the issue on previous version. Respectfully disagree with previous poster that it can be RAM related. It's not like CC is as demanding as Autocad... It's a program bug and it needs to be fixed. :-)

CC is on this issue, and may have found the culprit. There is a correlation with having an empty text box on the page and this error... Don't know how the empty text is being created (accidentally) and not being noticed, but I did it intentionally and confirmed that the error comes up. Without the empty text box, no error.

I just started seeing this problem on my system, too, and I also have XP Pro SP3 with VSD 6.06 with 2 GB RAM. I just upgraded to 6.06 yesterday from 5.9.4, and I also installed all Windows Updates prior to the upgrade. Sure sounds like a bug to me!

The empty text box may be a factor, but I don't think it's the only factor because I didn't have any empty text boxes on my home page when I saw the error! (Not that I'm aware of anyway.)

Quite possible, but I tried for hours last night to replicate the problem... Aside from putting in that darned box, nothing I tried would get it to crash out with the error...

I just downloaded VSD 6.06 ( 5/24/2010) and I am getting the error message about home page is not saved. Some of the posts in this thread are a year old? Is this fixed yet? I am using xp/sp3

You said that you 'just downloaded'. Does that mean that you have a home page from an earlier version of VSD, or have you just created one?
VSD has been updated since those previous posts were made, but since I'm not a VSD user, I don't really know what has been changed. Someone else will probably jump in here and give you some answers.

I had just downloaded the latest version of VSD, 6.06, I believe. The site I was working on was all new. I have been using earlier versions of VSD for years, never had this problem before. I am curious that the problem has existed for a year or so and the error message was not changed to " You Home Page has not been saved so you had better do a 'save as' or you will lose all of the pages that have new work on them"

VSD is a good program but I am so bitter about bug traps.
