I am working with version 7 bld 24. I am trying to add graphics and pdf files to be loaded into my site, but VSD will not allow me to do this.
When I click on the Add Files item, the Add files menu opes to the root directory. When I click on the new folder or file icon, nothing happens.
Am I missing something?

What should happen is that a dialogue box opens and lets you browse to the file or folder you want to add.
If that doesn't happen, maybe someone else here knows an answer. If not, open a support ticket and get professional help.

Click on the "Root"
Now click on the "Add a folder" icon at the bottom left corner of that window.
Now name your folder and then click on the new folder.
Now click on "Add files" icon at the bottom of that window and browse to the files you needed uploaded to your site.

Tried that. The program simply doesn't respond. The dialog box opens and when I click the add folder icon, no new folder appears. Click on the add file and no selection dialog appears.

I am running under Windows XP SP3. No box available for running as admin.
If I recall doesn't XP have an advanced tab or button to click.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Right clicking a shortcut in XP produces a 'Run as' option where you can specify the user.

While you are trying to add files, is anything on the open page highlighted? If it is, click next to it to remove the highlighting.
